Bally’s Corporation has expanded its Canadian operations with the rollout of Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino and Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook in Alberta. Both platforms began accepting wagers on Aug. 4 after a pre‑registration period earlier in the year. The Alberta iGaming Corporation confirmed the official launch on Aug. 5, stating that both sites are now fully active within the province’s regulated market.

With Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino now live, Alberta’s regulated online gaming sector has expanded to 26 operational platforms. The province opened its market on July 13 with 22 sites, and Bally’s becomes the first new operator to join since Entain added Sports Interaction and Party Casino in late July.

Bally’s has been active in Canada since 2022, when it entered Ontario’s regulated market with Bally’s Casino. The company later consolidated its Ontario offering into a combined sportsbook‑casino app powered by Kambi and White Hat Gaming.
With Alberta added, Bally Bet now operates in 15 jurisdictions across North America, including major U.S. markets such as New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and Ohio. Some states offer sportsbook-only access, while others support casino play.

Bally’s acquired the Monopoly Casino brand through its purchase of Gamesys in 2021. The platform made its North American debut in New Jersey before expanding into Ontario in mid‑2025.
A major licensing agreement with Hasbro later granted Bally’s exclusive global rights to develop Monopoly‑themed online casino content in regulated markets. Evolution was selected to produce the branded slot and live casino titles, which now feature prominently on the Monopoly platform.

Beyond its consumer-facing platforms, Bally’s also holds a majority stake in Bally’s Intralot S.A., a joint venture with lottery technology specialist Intralot.
